Goombi Wind Farm | Capability Mapping Report

LPRP is pleased announce the release, in collaboration with TSBE, the Goombi Wind Farm Capability Mapping Report.

More than 120 suppliers and businesses registered their capabilities through the mapping process, providing a critical overview of the local and regional businesses and capabilities that are available to contribute to the construction and operation of the project. We thank everyone who has participated and provided information about their business.

The Capability Mapping Report provides an important snapshot of the depth and diversity of capability available across the region and will help inform engagement with the local and regional supply chain as the project progresses.

Looking ahead

Procurement packages for the Goombi Wind Farm are anticipated to be released from 2027, with local industry engagement events planned to provide businesses with information about upcoming opportunities.

Construction is currently anticipated to commence in 2028.

Businesses that have not yet registered are still encouraged to do so. Registering ensures your business capabilities can be captured as the project moves towards procurement and construction.

Great Conversations at the TSBE Energy Summit

The LPRP team recently attended the TSBE Energy Summit, bringing together a full house of representatives from across the energy industry.

A key focus of the summit was how different forms of energy can work together to support Australiaโ€™s energy future, while ensuring we do not lose sight of the need to decarbonise our energy system in a rapidly warming world.

Llion from LPRP joined a panel with representatives from Western Downs Regional Council, Toowoomba Regional Council and Maranoa Regional Council to explore how developers and councils can work together to deliver lasting legacy benefits from energy projects.

Using the Goombi Wind Farm as an example, the discussion highlighted the importance of early collaboration, strong relationships and a shared commitment to ensuring renewable energy projects create meaningful benefits that extend beyond the life of construction.

For Goombi, working closely with Western Downs Regional Council is an important part of our approach to delivering long-term value for the region and the communities in which the project will operate.

Thank you to TSBE for bringing the industry together for an important conversation about the future of energy in regional Queensland.

๐Ÿ Supporting Chinchilla Netball! ๐Ÿ

Weโ€™re pleased to have provided funding to Chinchilla Netball Inc. through the Goombi Renewable Energy Hub Community Sponsorship Program.

The funding has gone towards new equipment to update the clubโ€™s existing gear and better cater for their younger players.

With 60 girls currently participating in Tuesday NetSetGO and Under 12 junior training, as well as older girls travelling to Dalby to play fortnightly, the club continues to grow and provide great opportunities for local girls to get involved in netball.

Weโ€™re proud to support Chinchilla Netball Club and the important role they play in encouraging young people to get active, build skills and be part of their local community.

We hope the new equipment gets plenty of use! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Supporting Chinchilla Little Athletics ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Weโ€™re proud to have supported Chinchilla Little Athletics Club through the Goombi Renewable Energy Hub Community Sponsorship Program.

The funding has helped the club purchase competitive javelins and two specialist trolleys โ€” one for shot put and one for discus.

The new equipment will be used by Chinchilla Little Athletics, as well as Chinchilla Christian College (CCC) for athletics lessons, the Chinchilla District Athletics Carnival, and when CCC hosts the South West Regional Carnival.

That means lots of local children and young athletes will benefit from the new equipment! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Itโ€™s also great to see the club investing in quality, competitive equipment that helps keep our region up to date and provides local athletes with the same opportunities and equipment available in the eastern regions.

Weโ€™re delighted to support Chinchilla Little Athletics and the young athletes who will put this equipment to good use! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“š Supporting Better Learning Opportunities for Local Students

At Goombi Renewable Energy Hub, we're proud to support projects that make a lasting difference in our local community.

Through our Community Sponsorship Program, we were pleased to support St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Chinchilla P&F with the purchase of a Roger DigiMaster 5000 V2 Soundfield System.

This new technology enhances speech clarity throughout the classroom, helping create a more inclusive learning environment and improving accessibility and engagement for all students.

It's wonderful to see the system already making a positive difference in the classroom.

Thank you to St Joseph's School P&F for sharing these fantastic photos and for their kind acknowledgement of our support. We're delighted to play a small part in helping local students thrive.

๐Ÿ’™ Supporting local communities. Investing in lasting outcomes.
