🎡 What a fantastic two days at the Chinchilla Show!

The Goombi Renewable Energy Hub team was proud to not only attend the show on Friday and Saturday, but also sponsor this wonderful community event.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall over the two days. It was great to meet so many locals, have some wonderful conversations, and share more about the project and our ongoing community initiatives.

We loved being part of such a great community event and appreciated the opportunity to connect with residents, local groups, and families from across the region.

Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the show such a success — we’re already looking forward to next year!

🤝✍️Goombi Wind Farm to deliver $30 million in long-term community benefits🤝✍️

We are happy to announce that the Goombi Wind Farm has agreed a Community Benefits Agreement with the Western Downs Regional Council that will see $30 million invested into the local communities over the next 35 years.

This is the first Community Benefits Agreement established in Queensland for a large-scale wind farm, marking an important step forward for how renewable energy projects support regional communities.

The Community Benefits Agreement will deliver a structured and consistent program of investment throughout the life of the project. Funding will be directed towards initiatives that matter most to the local community, helping to support long-term growth and resilience across the Western Downs.

These investments will initally focus on:

- Housing availability and affordability

- Skills development and training opportunities

- Local infrastructure and community projects
