TRAINEESHIP - Truck Driver / Loader / Operator / Yardperson

JS Welding are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is aspiring to begin a career in the transport and construction industry.

The role will be full time, permanent position (probation period applies) and will involve:

• Loading and unloading trucks (structural steel and equipment)
• Routine Maintenance and Servicing
• Being Trained on Heavy Vehicles (HR / HC), Forklifts and Cranes with a view to obtain licences and tickets
• Local pick ups and deliveries
• Assisting with QA documentation (material tracking)
• Washing vehicles
• Yard work


Desirable attributes for the individual:

• Current Drivers Licence – manual car licence at minimum, MR or HR licences would be a bonus
• Good worker
• Mechanically minded
• Punctual, Reliable
• Willing to listen and learn

TEKLA DRAFTSPERSON WANTED

We’re seeking an experienced Tekla Draftsperson to join our team.
Key duties include:
• Creating detailed 3D models and drawings using Tekla Structures
• Interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
• Producing marking plans, fabrication drawings, NC & DXF files
• Collaborating with project teams, contractors and subcontractors
• Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintaining project files, revisions and documentation
• Willingness to upskill as new machinery and software are introduced
On-site position in our Garbutt workshop, however some site work will be required.
Applicants must be currently residing in Australia.

Our team has just wrapped up the installation of steelwork for WIP Constructions in Pormpuraaw, far up in remote North Queensland.

It’s been a big effort with some long days on site, and the boys still managed to squeeze in some epic fishing in between! 🎣💪

Massive thanks to the crew for their hard work and dedication in getting the job done.

🚧 On Site in Far North Queensland 🐊

Our team has been putting in the hard yards both in the workshop and out on site. Weeks of precision fabrication and welding in our workshop have now come to life in Pormpuraaw, where several of our skilled staff are installing the steel framework for a brand-new health care centre.

This remote project right alongside a crocodile farm! shows the strength and dedication of our entire team. Everyone involved plays a vital role to completing these exciting projects. From those in the office; placing orders, planning, fabricating, welding, loading vehicles, transporting materials each person is a piece of the intricate puzzle.

We’re proud to play a role in delivering critical infrastructure that will support the local community for years to come.
