⛔ MACHANS BEACH: BRIDGE CLOSURE
The Gundy Anton bridge on Marshall Street will be temporarily closed while maintenance work is in progress from 10:30am-12pm on Tuesday 10 November.

Cairns Regional Council has asked our crews to remove two 5-metre light poles to pave the way for an upgrade.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding while we get the job done as efficiently as possible, and safely.

⚡𝗕𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘
Our teams are onsite to repair a fallen powerline in Bowen this morning after wildlife came into contact with the overhead network.

👷While crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore supply to the 1,200 customers currently affected, there are some homes and businesses that may not have supply back until mid-afternoon today due to the nature of the works needed.

⚠️ Remember to 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, keep others away and report it by calling Triple Zero. Always assume fallen powerlines are live and dangerous.

⚡𝗗𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗛 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘
Ergon crews are onsite carrying out emergency repairs to the network in Dimbulah this morning to restore power to affected customers as quickly and safely as possible.

👷 Our teams wanted to let the community know that the replacement of these two poles is likely to take some time and it is possible that power may not be restored until early Saturday afternoon.

⚡ 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗔𝗬, 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛, 𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗗𝗘𝗡, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗣 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗦 ⚡
We are aware of an outage that has impacted around 1,600 customers in these areas tonight. The outage has been caused by wildlife coming into contact with the overhead network and a subsequent pole top fire.

Ergon crews have been on site tonight repairing the damage and will continue to work though the night to restore supply to affected homes and businesses as quickly and safely as possible.

⚡LOCKHART RIVER OUTAGE
Our crews have found equipment damage that cannot wait until Sunday when planned maintenance is scheduled.

🛠️ We've switched the power off so crews can do emergency network repairs.

💡Power will be restored later this afternoon when repairs are complete.

✅ Sunday's planned outage will still go ahead.

🔥 Normanton crew member Dave Manthey took this video while assessing damage from a bushfire sparked by a storm.

At last count we’d lost a handful of poles and, with wires on the deck, the #1 priority for our crews is to make sites safe.

🔧 It could take them a couple of days to rebuild the network and restore supply.

Customers powered by the Coolibah, Lorraine and Iffley SWER lines are affected.

💪 Thankfully, the people who live and work in remote areas like this are incredibly resilient and self-sufficient.

🙏 We don’t take it for granted and our crews will always do their best to get the power back on as soon as practically possible in challenging conditions.

Our Warwick crews have found the cause of an outage for customers at Allora, Deuchar, Ellinthorp, Hendon, Old Talgai, Pratten, Sandy Camp, Talgai and Victoria Hill.
We've got a pole down over Dalrymple Creek (which just happens to be flooding).
These drone shots show how tricky it's going to be to stand the pole and restring the wires - heavy equipment and muddy ground don't play well together.
We'll have a better idea of how long it will take to get power back on once they've had a closer look at the terrain and the damage. Southern Downs Regional Council ABC Southern Queensland

Our crews have found a pole that's come down over the Cunningham Highway near Kellys Hill.
Customers are impacted in Allora, Berat, Clintonvale, Deuchar, Ellinthorp, Forest Springs, Freestone, Gladfield, Glengallan, Goomburra, Hendon, Maryvale, Mount Marshall, Talgai, Victoria Hill, Freestone, Massie, Rosehill, Sladevale and Willowvale.
They're doing everything they can to get the pole replaced as quickly as possible, but impacted customers should expect an extended outage - possible as late as 9pm - as access to the area for the equipment needed for a pole change has been made extremely difficult due to recent heavy rain.
