From Bashams Beach to Hayborough, Victor Harbor to Middleton, this is what a typical week looks like across some of the South Coast Constructions build programme right now.

Each project is at a different stage. One is in frame, others are mid-brick and scaffold, and the Middleton build is in the final stretch of finishing trades with those incredible ocean views starting to come into their own. Different locations, different clients, different design briefs, but the same level of care and oversight across the board.

This is one of the things that sets our in-house team apart. Because our tradies, designers, and site supervisors work together from the very beginning, nothing gets lost between teams and our clients always have a clear picture of where their build is at.

Five years ago today, this home appeared on our feed.

Built in Chiton, this was a project that asked us to do something genuinely different. The client wanted a home that felt industrial and timeless.
This brief shaped every decision we made from the design phase through to the final fit out.

The exposed brick fireplace was the centrepiece of the build. We paired it with a raw timber mantle and polished concrete floors that run the full length of the home, keeping the palette consistent and grounded.

The double-height living and dining space with the mezzanine above gives the home a scale that photographs well but feels even more impressive in person.

Out front, the dark Colorbond cladding hangs over the brick base with a red entry door as a deliberate moment of warmth against all the earthy material. It works because it was planned, not accidental.

The bathroom is still one of our favourites 🖤Large format stone-look tile, matte black tapware, a dark stone vessel basin on a timber vanity. Restrained and considered, and still completely current five years on.

That's what bespoke design delivers. Not a home that looks good on the day of the shoot and starts to feel dated within a few years, but one that was designed with intention and built to last.

From the first day on site to the final reveal, this is what it looks like when a vision comes to life.

This McCracken build is one we're particularly proud of. From the moment you step through the front door, the home makes a statement, a two-storey stone feature wall, dramatic black pendant lighting, and an open staircase that frames the space beautifully. But it's not just about the wow factor. Every detail was designed with real coastal living in mind.

The kitchen anchors the open plan living area with a marble veined island, dark timber cabinetry, and built-in appliances that keep the lines clean and the space functional. Floor-to-ceiling windows pull the ocean views right into the heart of the home, and the linear gas fireplace adds warmth without compromising the contemporary feel.

The bathrooms are a personal favourite; arched mirrors, herringbone tile, and a powder room that's genuinely a conversation starter.

This is what 30+ years of building on the Fleurieu Peninsula looks like. Considered design, quality craftsmanship, and a finished result that exceeds the brief every time.

After relocating from the tropics, Jeremy made a deliberate choice to put down roots here, and it's not hard to see why. The Fleurieu has a way of doing that to people.

For Jeremy, it's not just the region that kept him here. It's the people. He speaks highly of the family feel within the South Coast Constructions team, the strong administration support behind the scenes, and the reliable network of trades he works alongside day to day.

Three bathrooms, three completely different briefs = one home in Hayborough, right on the South Coast.

When our clients came to us, they knew exactly what they wanted, but they also trusted us to bring each space to life.

The family bathroom was all about practicality. Durable finishes, easy to clean, built to handle the morning family rush without looking like it was designed purely for function.
The ensuite took a completely different direction, an elevated spa feel with calm tones and brushed gold fixtures that make the end of a long day feel like a proper retreat.
And the powder room? That's where they had a bit of fun. A bold pop of colour, a statement piece in a small footprint, the kind of room guests always comment on.
