🐄 A little glimpse into dairy farming in Austria! 🌱

Behind every family-run farm is a lot of hard work, dedication and a passion for doing things better.

During our recent European visit, the Multikraft Australia and New Zealand team stopped by a family-run dairy farm to see how Multikraft's probiotic technology is being used in everyday farming practices.

It's always great to see our solutions in action, connect with farmers and share ideas across borders.

During our time at Multikraft Austria, we heard from familiar Australian voices including Craig van Rooyen, Dr Theunis Smit and Zac from FarmLink.

Craig has been part of the Multikraft journey for many years and has built the Van Rooyen Family Trust into a major horticultural operation spanning more than 200 hectares, with over 100,000 macadamia trees and extensive lychee production.

Theunis Smit, founder of OmenAg and a valued collaborator within the Multikraft network, brings a strong scientific and data-led approach to plant health, soil biology and regenerative agriculture.

It was also great to have Zac from FarmLink join the group and contribute to the conversations.

With Conor and Lukas bringing the Australian and Austrian teams together, the sessions reflected exactly what the study trip is about — exchanging knowledge, asking questions and learning from real-world experience.

A great few days in Austria, visiting farms across Styria with the Multikraft Austria team and seeing the Multikraft system in practice. 🌱

Across horticulture, pig, poultry and dairy operations, we saw how Multikraft is being used in different ways to support healthier, more resilient farming systems.

One standout was an organic vegetable grower who has been using the Multikraft system for four years. Despite significant heat and drought across the region, the farm experienced a relatively normal season — a strong example of what healthier, more resilient plants can deliver over time.

We also visited the Niederl family, who have worked with Multikraft for 40 years and have been using FHE in their pig operation for 27 years to support animal health, performance and odour reduction.

Different farms and different applications, but a consistent message: biological stability and good farming practices can support both productivity and sustainability.

Plenty of valuable learnings and ideas to bring back to Australia. 🇦🇺

New commercial broccoli study results. 🥦

A Victorian field study evaluated MicroLife Roots under high and moderate white blister pressure.

Under high disease pressure, the treated crop delivered:
🌱 155% more harvestable bins
📈 63% higher pack-out weight
🥦 Greater crop viability and harvestability

Under moderate disease pressure, MicroLife Roots delivered 14% more saleable yield and 32% more weight per bin, despite fewer bins being harvested.

The results highlight the potential for MicroLife Roots to support crop resilience, quality and pack-out efficiency under different growing conditions.

How important are long-term results?

One season can tell part of the story. Multiple seasons provide a clearer picture.
This commercial w**e grape verification in Western Australia continued to deliver strong results in 2025:

🍇 Highest ever vineyard yield
📈 17.7% increase in Ridge block yield compared with 2024
🌱 100% of the farm area incorporating Multikraft products

The vineyard also maintained its fully synthetic conventional fertiliser program, with no significant change to fertiliser spend, and no additional spray passes were required.
