Itero Australia were proud to once again sponsor the Perth Polocrosse Tournament, held earlier this month.

This tournament is particularly special, giving young players from across the country the opportunity to compete together, build confidence, show sportsmanship and form new friendships along the way.

This year, Itero sponsored Evergreen in the FutureGEN U12 competition, the Muresk FutureGOAL U16 team and the Twin Pines Young Guns U21 team. Our sponsorship also extended to the finals field and part of the live stream so anyone around the world could watch.

With many polocrosse clubs based throughout regional WA, the sport plays an important role in bringing farming communities together. As supporters of these communities, and with CBH Group as one of our most valued and long-standing clients, this sponsorship aligns closely with our commitment to helping maintain the facilities that support WA’s grain growers and regional families.

The statistics surrounding mental health in our industry are devastating. Tragically, a worker in our sector is six times more likely to die by su***de than from a workplace accident. This is shocking and confronting to read, especially when most of our work is within high-risk environments.

As employers, partners, and colleagues, we have a collective responsibility to look out for our teams, break the stigma, and foster workplaces where mental health is prioritised. In support of this, Itero is proud to partner with MATES in Construction WA as a Gold State Industry Partner, and especially proud to be the first MATES in Mining WA Gold Partner.

This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, understands building and industrial maintenance pathology, and has experience managing projects involving a range of access methods, including rope access, swing stages, scaffolding and EWPs.

Congratulations to our Project Supervisors Matthew Miraudo and Travis Kelly who have taken out our Q1 and Q2 awards respectively for Itero Australia’s *Weapon of the Year* Award.

Weapon of the Year is Itero’s internal award given for recognition of a staff member’s outstanding contribution, commitment, and all-round legendary ability. The award is named in memoriam for our self-confessed “Weapon” and talented colleague James Nowland.

One legend is selected per quarter, with an overall winner to be announced as the 2026 Weapon of the Year in December.

Itero Australia recently brought together our team, partners and kids to celebrate the end of a successful financial year. It was a chance to thank the people behind the scenes, especially those supporting loved ones working FIFO rosters and shift work.

We were also proud to welcome Damien McVeigh from MATES in Construction WA, who announced Itero’s new Gold Partnership with MATES in Construction and MATES in Mining. Through training and ongoing support, MATES helps create workplace communities of “mates looking out for mates” and plays an important role in reducing su***de across our industry.

With great food, plenty of laughs and strong company all around, the day was a wonderful reminder that Itero’s success is built not only by our team, but also by the families and supporters who stand behind them.🎉
