Jonathan Masters and I had so much fun talking to UOW researchers and local industry and fellow startups at the iAccelerate Matchmaker event this week.

We were super excited to present Bored Owl's Eddie. When we chatted to people afterwards I realised we should share a little bit more context on why Eddie is an exciting alternative to whats on the market and why it could be a game changer for your lab in terms of time and cost and ease of trying new ideas and then translating them into the field. We are busily working towards BETA testing, but we always are open to:
- chatting about your work, your challenges
- requests to test or collaborate on Eddie's design
- OEM design requests using Eddie's underlying tech

P.S. Best part of chatting to people was handing over our prototype Eddie and getting their reaction and questions and seeing Jonathan's face light up as he explained it. Nothing beats handling hardware to get real insight.

Highlights from Bored Owl's visit to the SBRC (Sustainable Buildings Research Centre) today at UOW. Thank you Emily Yap and Steven Beltrame for organising the visit, we enjoyed meeting more of your colleagues and getting your feedback on Eddie's development.

Special mention to Rakshi Manohar who worked on the project with Jonathan, supervised by Dr Emily Yap from the SBRC. We missed you today Rakshi but don't worry we ate some cake for you ;)

We are busy getting Eddie software development finalised, so Eddie is ready for Beta testing. We may also watch reruns of the ABC show Hard Quiz in our spare time, hence the joke in the title “Lets Play Hard” because that’s Tom Gleeson, the hosts call to action at the start of each show. Our goal for Eddie is not only to make Eddie work on the lab bench; we want it to be hardened for the real world which is a long-term goal, and we can’t do it alone.
