Introducing the Q65 of Michael Lawton , being the newest member to date here’s a brief leading into the Qld Title this Saturday.

Michael has a background in demolition derby’s/ramp races and raced Street Stocks for a couple of seasons years ago in Gisborne, New Zealand. He came along to the Maryborough Speedway one night and decided I’m going to race again! Had two seasons racing a Modlite, got Rookie of the year in 2022/2023. 2023/2024 got 12th out of 73 in the club championship and 6th out of 32 in the Campbells Truck & Bobcat series before deciding to build a Stockcar.

A big thanks to JPs Race Cars, Fraser Coast Rural Supplies, and the Queensland Stockcar Club. Michael had his first race on 15th March 2025 at River 94.9 Lockyer Valley Speedway. And is really looking forward to more racing.

So look out for the Q65 Machine this Saturday at Maryborough Speedway
