The rapid growth of the Data Centre industry is creating new opportunities, but also one of its greatest challenges โ developing engineers with the BIM competencies required to deliver increasingly complex Data Centre projects.
At Walter AEC, we believe that the sustainable growth of this industry depends on stronger collaboration between industry, academia, and the professional community.
That is why we are launching our long-term initiative, Developing the Next Generation of Data Centre Engineers, focused on building BIM competencies for Data Centre projects through partnerships with universities, professional education, mentorship, and talent development programmes.
The first step of this initiative is the new Say YES to BIM programme, where final-year electrical engineering students and electrical engineers will develop the skills needed to work on international Data Centre projects, with a strong focus on Electrical Engineering and Digital Engineering.
We believe the future of the Data Centre industry will be be built by investing in knowledge, collaboration, and people.
