BRACU Mongol-Tori

BRACU Mongol-Tori BRACU Mongol Tori is Bangladesh's premier student robotics team, pushing the boundaries of innovation through advanced engineering.

We the Mongoltori Mars Rover Team, are a tight-knit crew of innovators, problem-solvers, and dreamers with our eyes set on the Red Planet. Together, we design and build advanced rovers that are more than just machines—they’re the embodiment of our passion for exploration and teamwork. As part of the prestigious University Rover Challenge, we tackle every challenge head-on, whether it’s navigating

treacherous terrain, conducting complex science experiments, or performing delicate tasks with a robotic arm that could rival a surgeon’s precision. What sets us apart is our ability to work as a unit, blending our unique skills to create something extraordinary. We’ve built ROS-based control systems that bring our rover to life, developed sleek web GUIs to enable intuitive teleoperation, and implemented live-streaming camera systems that turn every test run into a cinematic event. When it comes to innovation, we don’t just stop at what works—we push to make it better, faster, and smarter. But it’s not all just code and wires. Our late-night brainstorming sessions are filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the occasional overcaffeinated chaos. We take pride in every victory, learn from every setback, and keep moving forward as a team. Whether we’re plotting a path through a Martian-like landscape or solving a tough mechanical problem, we know we’re stronger together. At Mongoltori, we don’t just dream of reaching for the stars—we’re building the machines to get us there. One rover, one challenge, one innovation at a time.

BRACU Mongol-Tori congratulates all the participating teams from Bangladesh.

Every year URC upholds the struggles of Bangladeshi teams. We congratulate UIU Mars Rover Team for being 3rd globally and the first Asian team to be on podium. We also congratulate MIST Mongol Barota team from the core of our heart for finishing as 11th. Their struggle throughout the competition was incomparable. Due to sudden harsh weather conditions, their circuit got damaged during the Equipment Servicing mission, and the mission got postponed. They had to rebuilt the whole system within one night and on the next day competed Equipment Servicing, Autonomous Mission and Delivery Mission, all 3 in one day! We believe, only an incredible team could pull themselves out from such disaster and stand with pride in global stage. We also congratulate Rover71 for standing as 34th among 116 competing teams. We really missed you Project Altair, we hope to see you in URC2027! চলো বাংলাদেশ 🇧🇩

Team BRACU Mongol-Tori has secured 7th place globally at the University Rover Challenge (URC) 2026.

We are incredibly proud to announce that we earned the highest marks in the Equipment Servicing and Extreme Delivery missions in the entire history of Mongol-Tori.

Reaching this level of technical excellence with our limited resources proves that unparalleled grit, determination, and teamwork can overcome any obstacle in the Utah and beyond.

A massive thank you to our advisor, incredible sponsors, mentors, and everyone who supported us on this journey. This victory belongs to all of us! Onward and upward!

A new chapter for BRACU Mongol-Tori. For the first time in our team’s history, we are officially entering the European Rover Challenge 2026.

Taking on two major competitions this year requires a massive step up in our engineering. Meet Polaris and Bumblebee, our newly developed rover and UAV systems, built specifically for the European stage.

The hardware is tested, and the official video report is successfully submitted.

Team Mongol Tori had the incredible opportunity to visit the Meghna Industrial Economic Zone for an exclusive industrial tour hosted by Meghna Group of Industries.

From witnessing high speed automated bottling lines to the mass production of consumer goods, it was fascinating to see industrial engineering operating at such a massive scale. Seeing their massive industrial arms and automated assembly lines in full swing gave us a real world look at the exact kind of technology we strive to build. It was incredibly inspiring to see how MGI's industrial capabilities align perfectly with the vision and precision behind our own rover's robotic arm. We even had the chance to demonstrate our rover's robotic arm capabilities, grabbing a bottle of Fresh drinking water right alongside the MGI team!

A huge thank you to MGI for the incredible hospitality, giving us a behind the scenes look at your state of the art facilities, fueling our vision, and continuing to support the next generation of engineers.

Empowering the next generation of engineers starts with hands on experience. BRACU Mongol-Tori, in collaboration with our partner Cytron Technologies, recently conducted an intensive workshop on advanced motor driver applications during the Notre Dame College Science Fest 2026.

Our goal was to bridge the gap between theoretical robotics and real world implementation. Throughout the session, students engaged directly with industry standard hardware to explore the nuances of motor control; a critical component we prioritize in the development of our Mars rover.

We focused on three core areas: mastering hardware integration within the Cytron ecosystem, achieving precision through efficient PWM signals, and translating complex robotics logic into physical movement.

Fostering a robust robotics culture in Bangladesh remains at the heart of our mission. The technical curiosity we witnessed at Notre Dame College is a testament to the talent brewing in our community, and we are proud to support their journey toward innovation.
