মিনিস্টার ইয়োশিদা ঢাকায় অনুষ্ঠিত জাপানি খাদ্য প্রদর্শনীতে যোগদান করেন। / Minister Yoshida attends the Japanese Food Showcase in Dhaka

On 5 October, Ms. Yoshida Aya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, attended “Japanese Food Showcase: The Global Gateway” organized by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Dhaka Office. The event brought Japanese food companies and Bangladeshi buyers together for product presentations, tastings and business meetings.

In her remarks, Minister Yoshida expressed hope that the showcase would lead to new business partnerships and bring more Japanese food products to consumers in Bangladesh. She reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Bangladesh in the food and agriculture sector under the Japan–Bangladesh Strategic Partnership.

Mr. Yuji Ando, ​​a much-loved figure and JETRO’s representative in Bangladesh, has moved on from his role here—though it would be inaccurate to call it a simple farewell, as his responsibilities have actually expanded. After serving in Bangladesh for seven years, he has been appointed as the JETRO Director overseeing South Asia (covering Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives). He worked with remarkable dedication and cooperation to improve the business and investment climate in Bangladesh.
I shared a very friendly and cordial relationship with him while working in Bangladesh. Whenever I approached him regarding any matter, he would demonstrate a great sense of responsibility and strive to be helpful. On behalf of ASTIR JAPAN INTERNATIONAL, I would like to express my gratitude to you.

বাংলাদেশে জেট্রো এর প্রতিনিধি আমাদের সকলের প্রিয় ব্যাক্তি মিঃ ইউজি আন্দো বিদায় নিয়েছেন। আসলে বিদায় নিয়েছেন বললে ব্যাপারটা ভুল হবে উনার দায়িত্ব আরো বেড়ে গিয়েছে বলা যায়। বাংলাদেশে দীর্ঘ ৭ বছর কাজ করার পর, তিনি জেট্রোর পরিচালক হিসেবে দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার (বাংলাদেশ, ভারত, পাকিস্তান, শ্রীলঙ্কা, নেপাল, ভুটান, মালদ্বীপ) দায়িত্বে নিযুক্ত হয়েছেন। বাংলাদেশের ব্যবসা এবং বিনিয়োগ পরিবেশের উন্নতির জন্য অসাধারণ সহযোগিতা ও একাগ্রতা নিয়ে কাজ করে গিয়েছেন।
