Complex hip replacements involve considerable 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬.

Scar tissue and multiple previous operations may have distorted the anatomy, there may be fragile bone, dead bone or cancerous tumors, unique bone preparation is required for the implant, which only fits into one shape with one orientation... And the list goes on.

For all of these reasons, it is critical that the implant be designed and manufactured accurately. It is a process that encompasses several steps and software applications, from the first patient scan to the actual surgery.
