In their recent paper, Esfandiar et al. investigated the effect of ion implantation on bulk and exfoliated CIS-processed (crystal ion slicing) flakes of BaTiO3. The results suggest that optimized CIS-processing can yield optically non-linear and electro-optically active films, suitable for integrated photonics, with an accessible thickness range that surpasses what is achievable with epitaxial growth methods.
The BudgetSensors Tap300Al-G is used for topographic characterization of the samples via AFM.
