Minimize your electricity load, maximize your savings! 💡

Since 2004, Nexstar Lighting has been your trusted expert in lighting design and installation.

It all starts with an energy efficient lighting system together with a complementary lighting audit. This is where we lower your energy costs. For example, a typical industrial lighting or commercial lighting retrofit replaces a 400-watt metal halide that has a total load of 455 watts, with a 4-lamp T5 fluorescent fixture with a total load of 214 watts, resulting in a savings per fixture of 235 watts – or 55%. And with lighting controls such as motion sensors and/or photocells, we can often take savings up an additional 50-percent! The most common energy efficient light fixtures for commercial lighting include T8 or T5 fluorescent lamps with electronic ballasts, induction lighting, LED lighting, and electronic HID lighting. Nexstar’s lighting professionals match the most cost effective lighting system to your environment. Our in-house engineer understands the cost/benefits of all lighting systems and controls and has been designing the most energy efficient lighting systems for over 20-years. Thanks to incentive programs such as the Ontario save-ON-energy program that funds up to 50% of your lighting retrofit, there has never been a better time to invest in energy efficient lighting. Our customers are saving on average over $5,000.00 per month. Typical paybacks are under 1.5-years, with average return-on-investments (ROI) of 75+%. Why not let the Nexstar team get you the necessary information to analyze your savings opportunity? Our turnkey services include a complementary lighting analysis that shows your energy savings, cost savings, government incentive support, and total installation cost with no extras.

The BizEnergySaver Program has officially expanded, and all Toronto postal codes beginning with "M" are now eligible.

That means many more commercial, industrial, and multi-residential buildings can now access generous incentives for LED lighting upgrades.

If you've been putting off a lighting upgrade, this is a great opportunity to see what's available. Our team can assess your building, estimate your incentive amount, and handle the process from start to finish.

The program is available until August 31, 2027, so it's worth exploring sooner rather than later.

📞 Get in touch with Nexstar Lighting to find out if your building qualifies.

If you've ever looked into upgrading the lighting in your building, you've probably had more questions than answers.

Will the work interrupt operations? Can it be done after hours? Do you have to replace everything at once?

These are the kinds of conversations we have every day. That's why we put together our latest blog covering some of the most common questions building owners ask before starting a lighting retrofit.

Read it now through the link in our bio or on our website.

Smart sensor incentives are decreasing on June 30.

If you express interest in proceeding before June 26, we'll have time to complete the required paperwork and help secure the current incentive levels, even if the installation takes place later.

Ontario’s Energy Performance Program (EPP) gives businesses another way to be rewarded for reducing energy use. Unlike traditional retrofit programs that focus mainly on purchasing new equipment, EPP is more about optimizing how your building already operates.

Things like adjusting lighting schedules, improving controls, adding occupancy sensing, tracking energy usage through metering and analytics, and fine tuning existing systems can all contribute toward lowering consumption.

That means you’re not only saving energy and reducing utility bills month after month, but you can also earn incentives on top of those savings.

Nexstar Lighting can help identify opportunities within your facility, optimize your systems, and build a strategy to help you qualify for EPP incentives while improving overall building performance.

Happy Earth Day 🌎

One of the most sustainable things we can do is reduce the demand we're already putting on the planet. And one of the best ways to do that isn't always starting over with something new. It's getting more out of what's already there.

If your building already has LED, you might not need another upgrade. You might just need the system to work the way it was meant to.

No sensors. Lights running after close. Empty rooms fully lit.

A lot of the efficiency is already installed. Sometimes it just needs to be unlocked.
