What is a favorite pastime of yours?

-On my days off from work I usually like to go riding my ATV or find a fishing spot depending on the weather.

-My favorite sport as of lately is snowboarding.

Daryl Surig - BESS Technician for Molen Services

What has been your favorite project so far?
-Definitely Bridgewater BESS. It was my first battery energy storage project, and what a way to start! We faced more than our fair share of unexpected challenges, with a "handful" of other surprises along the way, so there was never a dull moment. It was an absolute rollercoaster ride, but I gained a ton of valuable experience, and it definitely made me a better technician.

Where is your hometown?
-I was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. Kamusta!!!

What do you like to do on your days off?
-Camping and paddleboarding paired with some coastal drives is always my go to during the summer.

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
-A lifetime supply of Strongbow Ciders.

Where are you hoping to travel next?
-I've been wanting to visit Japan for quite a while now.

What exactly do you do at our company?

I perform maintenance and troubleshooting on wind turbines to help keep them operating safely and efficiently. Every day brings different challenges, which makes the work interesting and rewarding.

What is your favorite aspect about working in renewable energy?

I enjoy being part of an industry that produces clean energy while giving me the opportunity to keep learning new technologies and improving my skills.

What do you think makes our team culture unique?

One of the best parts is working with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Everyone brings different experiences, perspectives, and ways of solving problems, which creates a great environment for learning from one another.
