We went looking for a famous silver nugget in Toronto. Let us explain. 🪨
Here at Lost Hope Mine, we’ve been deep in the archives lately, and one story kept pulling us back: the Keeley Nugget. One of the most remarkable finds from Ontario’s Silver Rush, discovered at the Frontier Keeley Mine in Silver Centre — right next door to our American Bulldog project.
And while we were at it, we put together our latest newsletter with a full update on all four of our active projects across the Southern Abitibi, including some news about our grassroots exploration program at American Bulldog this season. C’est excitant!
A quick snapshot of what we’re working on:
🟡 Kirkland West Gold - On strike between Macassa and Young-Davidson, family-held patented land since 1958
🥈 Silverside - Unassayed drill core from 2006 still sitting in storage. We think it’s time to open some boxes.
⛏️ Marshall’s Corners - Agnico-Eagle worked this ground in the ‘80s. We’ve digitized 40+ historic drill holes and are picking up where they left off.
🐾 American Bulldog - Silver Centre. Historic workings, recent geophysics, and a grassroots program launching this season. Contiguous to the Consolidated Keeley Frontier Mine, now operated by Kuya Silver (KUYA.CN). We are not affiliated with Kuya Silver and are not compensated for mentioning them, just proud neighbours.
If you’re an investor, a fellow explorer, or just someone who thinks old silver mines are genuinely cool, we’d love to have you along for the ride.
