Every team has someone who brings energy into the room the moment they walk in โ and at HFDI, that person is Camilo Ortiz.
Camilo joined us in October 2022 as a Project Coordinator after moving to Canada from Colombia, bringing with him not only a civil engineering background, but a natural drive to learn, grow, and uplift the people around him. His talent, attitude, and curiosity quickly set him apart, and in just a short time he earned his current role as Junior Project Manager.
Today, Camilo oversees the planning, coordination, and ex*****on of projects, working closely with our teams to ensure each job is completed safely, on time, and within budget. He bridges the field and office worlds with ease, always ready to support, teach, or ask the right questions. New team members see him as a guide; seasoned team members know him as someone who listens, learns, and shows respect for the craft.
But beyond his technical skills, Camilo is known for something else entirely โ his charisma. His positivity is contagious, his presence brings people together, and his commitment to teamwork has strengthened the camaraderie within our office. He takes pride in his work, his appearance, and the professional standard he sets every day.
