Methanex is committed to investing in charitable organizations and initiatives in our community. We've changed how we accept and review funding requests: we now accept and review applications twice a year (spring and fall).

Making a Difference One Lunch at a Time 🥪🏅

Our Methanex Medicine Hat team was proud to volunteer at the Special Olympics this past week, helping pack lunches for the incredible athletes competing throughout the event.

It was a privilege to support an organization that promotes inclusion, determination, and the power of sport. A big thank you to the organizers, volunteers, coaches, and supporters who helped make the event a success.

Most importantly, congratulations to all the athletes who participated! Your dedication, sportsmanship, and achievements continue to inspire our community.

Nothing says Stampede season like burgers, hot dogs, and good company! 🤠🌭🍔

We were excited to welcome collegaues and their families to our annual Stampede BBQ. From firing up the grill to serving lunch and meeting new people, it was a great opportunity to connect, catch up, and celebrate together.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and enjoy a great afternoon with our Methanex family!

Methanol is already used in a growing range of energy‑related applications, including marine fuel and transportation. As a fuel, it burns cleaner than many conventional fuels, such as diesel or gasoline, helping to reduce air pollutants and improve local air quality. It also complies with increasingly stringent emissions regulations.

Looking ahead, methanol offers multiple pathways to support decarbonization across the energy and transportation sectors. When produced from renewable or lower‑carbon feedstocks, it can reduce lifecycle emissions while using existing infrastructure, positioning methanol as a practical bridge to lower‑carbon solutions.

What an amazing cause! We are honored to assist with making the clients of Medicine Hat Women's Shelter Society comfortable and safe. Something like laundry is often taken for granted and seems so simple, but when faced with challenges it becomes even more important.

We would like to take a moment to say thank you to Methanex Medicine Hat for their incredible donation of $25,000 towards our Musasa House laundry room renovation!

This donation will support our clients by helping to provide a simple necessity in our shelter - access to laundry anytime the residents need to wash clothes.
