🎈 It is quite a spectacle , but please be safe.

From this Thursday through Sunday, the skies over Medicine Hat will be filled with hot air balloons, and we know it’s an incredible sight to see 👀

‼️ If you’re driving and want to watch, please pull over safely before looking up, taking photos, or stopping to enjoy the view. Do not get distracted behind the wheel, and please be mindful of other drivers, pedestrians, and families who may also be watching the skies.

Great information regarding batteries & fires. Please read below.

We’re seeing more fires 🔥 right now linked to everyday devices like phones, laptops, e-scooters 🛴 powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

Recently, we had an e-scooter catch fire after the wrong charger was used. It delivered too much voltage, overheated the battery and led to a fire.

‼️ALWAYS use the charger that comes with your device, or one approved by the manufacturer. Off-brand chargers from third-party sites may not be safety certified and often lack the protections needed to prevent overheating.
