Congratulations to the newest graduates of Explomin Perforaciones’ 360° Training Program for Drilling Assistants! In partnership with Minsur S.A and CETEMIN, Explomin delivered six months of theoretical and practical training to prepare local talent for careers in Peru’s mining industry.

From 121 applicants, 13 participants were selected and successfully completed the program, with 100% joining the workforce. This third graduating class also included three women; a first in the program’s history.

Winner of the Suppliers category at the 2025 Revista ProActivo Awards, the 360° Program reflects our commitment to developing local talent and creating meaningful opportunities in the communities where we operate.

Our McKay Drilling team recently came together for its annual Dooga Day Brekkie BBQ, continuing a tradition that honours colleague Josh “Dooga” Jones and creates space for meaningful conversations about mental health and su***de prevention.

Now in its sixth year, Dooga Day has become an important part of the McKay community, supporting MATES in Construction WA (MATES in Mining) and the Black Dog Institute, helping these organizations provide prevention programs, awareness initiatives, resources and support services.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored or volunteered. The impact of Dooga Day lives on through the people who continue to come together and keep these important conversations going.

Major Drilling America is proud to support the next phase of exploration at Resolution Copper, one of the most significant copper development projects in the United States.

Our team will undertake deep-hole directional diamond core drilling from both surface and underground operations as exploration and mine planning activities advance. This work builds on our long-standing relationship with Rio Tinto and the Resolution Copper team as the project continues to progress.

Major Drilling's VP, U.S. Operations, Kevin Slemko, noted, "We are honoured to once again support Resolution Copper as the project advances. Major Drilling Brazil is proud to have participated in PA Gold's "Vire a Chave" (Turn the Key) program, an initiative that recognizes ideas and projects that enhance safety and productivity across operations.

Working alongside the PA Gold Technical Services team, our team supported a dewatering project in a previously flooded area of historic underground workings. Through careful planning, innovative engineering solutions, and precise drilling ex*****on, the team successfully reduced borehole pressure from 17 bar to effectively zero, helping create a safer path for future mine development and unlocking access to areas that were previously considered high-risk.

Gaspar Ferreira, Operations Manager, said, “Projects like this showcase what can be achieved when strong partnerships, innovation, and safety-focused thinking come together. We are proud to support PA Gold in advancing solutions that create long-term value while protecting people and operations.”
