Against uncoated controls, PolyFrost®-coated trailers held temperature 10% closer to setpoint on average. After a door opening or defrost cycle, they recovered to setpoint up to 60% faster.

Fuel prices just jumped 17 spots to become trucking's #1 concern in 2026.

According to the American Transportation Research Institute's (ATRI) latest survey, fuel prices went from the industry's 18th-ranked concern in 2025 to its top concern in 2026.

And with operating margins in refrigerated trucking below 1%, every gallon matters.

As one fleet executive put it: “It's all about managing your fuel economy and minimizing empty or deadhead miles.”

For refrigerated fleets, there's another opportunity to improve fuel efficiency: reducing the energy needed to keep cargo cold.
