Today, we honor the courage and sacrifice of all the men and women who have fought for our freedom.

Here is one man we remember everyday —
Cpl. Pierre R. Desnoyers of the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force), serving with the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) in Egypt, 1966.

Cpl. Desnoyers and his comrades were among the last to depart when the situation escalated prior to the Six-Day War. Their service represents the enduring commitment of Canadians to peace and international stability.

We hope we are making you proud, Gramps. Lest we forget.
