Finally finished this one. I have been working on it here and there, on and off, with about 20 hours of work as I picked at and tweaked it until I was happy. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try a few new techniques and ideas.
47.5” fire poker.
Hand forged from a single piece of steel.
Decorative handle with a similar feature down the main body.
The ring on the end was punched and drifted open.
One of a kind.
Asking $120.

36” fire poker. A request for a larger version of the previous one I made before this. A few changes though.

Currently sunbath with a beeswax finish:
Little reaching hook. Two way hook, a little twist, and a little hoop to hang it. Now we can get the bird feed down.

25 inch hand made fire poker available. $60.
Pick up in Orangeville.
Made from an almost 10.75 inch piece of 0.75 inch round bar. Before I bent the handle it was 31 inches long. Not too shabby, eh!

Rack for a decorative cloth.
Made from a piece of flat bar. Front part is worked down with a curl at the end to keep the cloth from sliding off. Small increase in with on the bend for the same effect and some extra support.
Flat bar has been textured with a ball peen. Tapered and then chiseled end shaped into a heart.
Flat black finish.
A little fancy but not too much. Don’t want to draw attention from the cloth.
