๐ŸŒช๏ธ A cyclone is a powerful storm with strong winds and heavy rain that forms over warm ocean waters. As it moves, it can bring flooding, big waves, and damage to buildings and trees. Meteorologists use satellites and weather tools to track cyclones and give early warnings to help keep people safe. If a cyclone is expected, always follow instructions from trusted adults and emergency officials. Learning about weather helps us stay prepared! ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’™

โ˜€๏ธ A drought happens when an area gets very little rain for a long time. Without enough water like rivers and lakes, plants can dry up making it harder for people, animals and crops to survive. Everyone can help save water by turning off the tap while brushing their teeth, taking shorter showers, and using only what they need. Every drop counts, and small actions can make a big difference in protecting our planet! ๐Ÿ’ง๐ŸŒ

Thank you to the London Children's Museum for letting us โ€œtake overโ€ the Discovery Lab with our spectacular science day. Visitors got to learn about optics and made their own 3D glasses, whirly gigs, spiral graphs and colour change buttons. We loved meeting everyone!

๐ŸŒ Did you know an earthquake happens when pieces of Earthโ€™s crust suddenly move? This movement sends out waves that make the ground shake. Some earthquakes are so small we canโ€™t feel them, while others can be much stronger. Scientists use special tools called seismographs to study earthquakes, but they canโ€™t predict exactly when one will happen. Remember, if the ground starts shaking, Drop, Cover, and Hold On to help stay safe! ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒŠ A tsunami is a series of huge ocean waves caused by underwater earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or landslides. These powerful waves can travel across the ocean very quickly and become much taller when they reach the shore. Scientists use special warning systems to help keep people safe. If you ever hear a tsunami warning, always listen to trusted adults and emergency officials and move to higher ground right away. Learning about nature helps us stay safe! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒ™ Did you know the Moon doesnโ€™t make its own light? It shines because it reflects light from the Sun! The Moon travels around Earth, and as it moves, we see different shapes called phases, like a crescent, half moon, and full moon. It also helps create ocean tides with its gravity. Next time you look up at the night sky, see if you can spot the Moon and discover which phase itโ€™s in! ๐ŸŒ•โœจ

โ˜€๏ธ The Sun is a giant star that gives Earth light and warmth every day! It helps plants grow, powers the water cycle, and makes life possible for people and animals. While sunshine is great for outdoor fun, remember to stay safe by wearing sunscreen, a hat, and drinking plenty of water. The next time you see the Sun shining, remember itโ€™s over 150 million kilometers away but still bright enough to light up our world! ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ˜Ž

๐Ÿฅฃ Ever wonder how yogurt is made? Yogurt starts as milk, and special helpful bacteria are added to it. These bacteria turn the milk's natural sugar into lactic acid, which makes the milk thicken and gives yogurt its tangy taste! ๐Ÿฆ โœจYogurt is also a good source of protein, calcium, and probiotics, which can help support a healthy digestive system. It's a tasty example of how science transforms everyday foods! ๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‚ Ever wonder why we have seasons? Itโ€™s not because Earth is closer to the Sun! Seasons happen because Earth is tilted as it orbits the Sun. โ˜€๏ธโœจWhen your part of Earth tilts toward the Sun, you get more direct sunlight and warmer weather. When it tilts away, you get less sunlight and colder weather. Thatโ€™s what creates the four seasons each year! ๐ŸŒธโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿโ„๏ธ
