Our projects team has been hosting a weekly 'hot dog and ice cream' drop-in lunch in the field, with lots of people happily taking part. Eric supplies the onions. He's a member of the Shriners, and their annual onion fundraiser for the Shriners Hospitals for Children is going strong. We work with wonderful humans 🥰

Our colleague, Eli was visiting our site this week from Texas and joined the Catch the Ace festivities at the Legion by taking part in karaoke. Wow, Eli - what a voice!! 😍

It was a full house at the 59th Annual Construction Apprenticeship Graduation Banquet - the only event of its kind in Canada. Thank you to the Sarnia Construction Association for continuing to support such a meaningful event that recognizes skilled trades professionals!

When your Imperial Sarnia coworker books a few days off… and suddenly you’re seeing pics of him casually hanging out with Taylor Swift like it’s no big deal.

Another big piece of our sulphur dioxide emissions reduction project is now in place. A 44-foot by 17-foot goggle valve was safely lifted into position. While the lift itself may appear straightforward, it reflects extensive planning and engineering. This work was completed by Imperial employees and skilled trades contract professionals, including CIMS Limited Partnership and Mammoet crane operators. Thank you to everyone involved! As part of this regulatory driven project, Imperial expects to reduce sulphur dioxide emissions by approximately 90% by the end of 2028.

Congratulations to Imperial Sarnia employee Tiffany Dunn on being selected as a Sarnia Community Foundation 2026 Women of Excellence award winner! Tiffany, a mechanical supervisor and turnaround ex*****on lead, was recognized for her leadership and impact in the skilled trades. A true trailblazer, she was the first woman to complete an apprenticeship through the union hall and is a respected leader, mentor, and advocate for women entering the trades.

The Women of Excellence event included a keynote speech by Sarnia native Irene Matys, author of My Cypriot Table cookbook. Congratulations to all of this year's award winners!

Check this out...a custom-fabricated 30-foot tall breaching structure built locally by the world-class skilled trades teams at CIMS Limited Partnership and ANJ for Imperial’s Sarnia site. This critical component will help connect process unit operations to new emissions control equipment. Once complete, the project is expected to reduce SO₂ emissions by approximately 90% by the end of 2028. Great work by everyone involved in bringing this piece from concept to completion. We can't wait to see it lifted in place!
