Oroco Connects the Next Generation with Mining

We were happy to welcome students from COBAES 09 high school to the Santo Tomás Copper Project!

The students toured our core facilities, saw how drill core is logged and stored, and met members of our geology team. We talked about the many types of professionals involved in the project, and the benefits mining can bring to local communities.

Oroco believes getting to school shouldn’t depend on where you live.

For students in 5 rural communities of Choix, Mexico, where Oroco's Santo Tomás Copper Project is located, reliable school transportation was an ongoing challenge. Until now, the municipality had relied on government vehicles to help students get to school.

To help address this issue, Oroco and our operating partner, Minera Tempisque, purchased and donated a dedicated school bus to the Municipality of Choix.

The bus will benefit more than 35 families across Los Chinos, Techobampo, El Cedrito, El Nacimiento and Mezquite Caído, providing more reliable school transportation.

Under Mayor Yoni Gamez’s leadership, the municipality will cover ongoing operating and maintenance costs.

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Gámez Vázquez and the Choix Municipal Government (Ayuntamiento de Choix 2024-2027) for their partnership and for sharing our commitment to supporting local families and improving access to education.

NEWS RELEASE: Oroco drills 234.6 Metres of 0.52% CuEq at Santo Tomás

Today we reported the fifth batch of Phase 2 assay results from Santo Tomás, one of North America's largest porphyry copper projects, located in northwestern Mexico.

"These results continue to strengthen our optimism for an expanded resource model at Santo Tomás together with increased certainty as to the grade continuity and overall project viability," said Charles Cryer, CEO. "With South Zone resource drilling now complete, we look forward to seeing how these very positive overall results influence the valuation presented in the project's next economic assessment."

Phase 2 is designed to provide the drilling density needed to evaluate the potential conversion of Inferred Mineral Resources to the Indicated category, and to collect the geotechnical, hydrogeological and metallurgical data needed for PFS-level mine planning.

With South Zone resource drilling complete, drilling continues in the Pillar Zone, and geotechnical drilling has commenced.
