We're excited to announce the successful conclusion of our expanded Phase 1 drilling campaign at the 100%-owned Pt. Leamington gold/copper/zinc/silver deposit!

What started as a 7-hole, 3,000-meter program grew into 10 holes and 3,556 meters — driven by the exciting discovery of the Kraken copper zone early in the program.

Visionary Copper and Gold Mines Inc. is pleased to announce the start of its fully funded 2026 Phase 1 exploration drilling program at the 100% owned Point Leamington Project in central Newfoundland. This 3,000 metre drill program – the first on the project in more than 20 years – is focused on expanding the known gold, copper, zinc and silver rich resource and identifying higher-grade zones and extensions of the deposit near surface.

The program will:

Test the southern strike extension of the Pt. Leamington deposit, where historical drilling and electromagnetic surveys suggest strong potential to significantly increase the size of the system.

Follow up on a deeper Lower Footwall Zone and copper stringer mineralization that have already delivered thick copper-bearing intervals outside the current pit shell.
​

Drill under-sampled areas within the pit that could add to the near-surface copper and gold resource base.
​

Point Leamington already hosts substantial pit-constrained Indicated and Inferred mineral resources, with additional higher-grade material below the pit, and sits in one of Canada’s premier VMS and gold districts. Visionary is excited to see what this next phase of drilling can deliver for shareholders and stakeholders.
