Proudly Canadian and family-owned, we build custom vehicles for those who serve and protect, from fire apparatus to law enforcement and specialty units. đŸ”„đŸš’ Vars, Ontario Luc Thibault founded Battleshield in 2012 as a specialized parts, mobile service, and equipment supplier and refurbisher of fire apparatus. As a firefighter himself and as the company president, Luc knows you depend on your equipm

ent to save lives! That is why you can depend on Battleshield for all your new and used equipment, truck repairs, custom projects, and annual pump testing. In 2016, due to a high demand from our loyal clients, we began designing and building our own line of fire trucks and rescue units. The following year, we expanded into upfitting enforcement vehicles with such items as weapon mounts, keyboard mounts, rollout trays, K9 cages to name a few. In 2020, Battleshield invested in high technology machinery which gave us the opportunity to form metal in-house using a CNC laser cutting machine and CNC press brake. This new equipment allows us to build our own fire truck bodies as well as supply hospitals with sanitary mounts, pick-up truck enclosed metal boxes, etc. We are also open to the public. As a result of our rapid growth, we expanded to a second facility where a new division was created to better service the utility box industry. This division specializes in rescue body, hazmat body, water works, service body, law enforcement, command centres, etc. We are a fast-growing company with 50 full time employees and 3 locations. The success of Battleshield is the results of key knowledge of the industries, strategic locations, a bilingual staff with years of experience in the field with the ability to offer a 24/7 service to Eastern Ontario and Western Québec. Another new Pumper-Tanker ready to hit the road in Akwesasne. 🚒

The 2026 Freightliner M2 112 Crew Cab combines 450 HP, a 1,500 US gallon Brayneck Canaplast tank, and a Hale QMAX-XS 1250 GPM pump into a purpose-built Pumper-Tanker designed for dependable performance on every response.

Now officially delivered to the Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department, this truck features Whelen emergency lighting, an FRC InControl pressure governor with TankVision, extensive SCBA and equipment storage, and a custom NFPA graphics package complete with mural artwork.

Designed for the demanding realities of today’s fire service, this apparatus is built to support the firefighters of Akwesasne whenever they’re needed most. đŸ”„đŸ§Ż

A new apparatus has officially joined the fleet of the Fort Erie Fire Department. 🚒

This 2026 Freightliner M2 112 Pumper-Tanker is powered by a 450 HP Detroit DD13 engine and features a Waterous CXS 1050 IGPM pump, 2,500 Imperial gallon water tank, custom aluminum body, integrated emergency lighting, and organized equipment storage throughout.
