🌾 Celebrating the IPM Beautification Contest Winners! 🌾

When the International Plowing Match Beautification Committee reached out to us looking for ideas for their contest prizes, we were so excited to come up with something unique that would showcase our local agricultural landscape and be a statement piece in any garden.

We designed these custom column pieces featuring wheat all the way around — with a 40" column for 1st place and a 30" column for 2nd place. For 3rd place, we created a custom metal sign. 🌾

It was so rewarding to see the winners receive their pieces this past Wednesday at the Sprucedale Agromart Beautification Contest Awards Banquet!

A huge thank you to the IPM Beautification Committee for thinking of Freiburger Welding for this special undertaking and trusting us to bring the idea to life. We were proud to play a small part in celebrating the hard work and creativity going into beautifying our community for the upcoming International Plowing Match! 💛

Congratulations to all of the winners — we hope you enjoy your pieces for many years to come!

⛳ A custom piece for a special tournament! ⛳

We were honoured to create this custom metal golf sign for the Doug Hewitson Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by the Walkerton Legion Branch 102. ❤️

This piece features a detailed golf scene complete with a golf bag, flag, ball and fairway — all designed and cut right here at Freiburger Welding.

We hope everyone had a fantastic day on the course! Thank you to the Walkerton Legion for allowing us to create something special for this memorial tournament. ⛳

Three years since I lost my mom.

There are so many moments I wish I could share with you, and not a day goes by that I don't think about how much I wish you were still here.

The hardest part is knowing that my daughter will never get to know the incredible grandma you would have been. She'll never hear your voice, feel your hugs, or make memories with you. She'll only know you through our stories, our photos, and the love we will always share with her about who you were.

I see pieces of you in our family every day, and I hope as Lynnetta grows up, she'll see them too. I promise she'll know your kindness, your strength, your love for family, and the beautiful person you were.

Three years have passed, but our love for you hasn't changed. We miss you beyond words, Mom.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Until we meet again. 💜

We're so excited to see the Find the Fish Walking Adventure making a splash this summer! It's wonderful to see these iconic fish getting a refresh and inspiring a whole new generation to get out and explore our community.

Many people may not know that these fish were designed by Debbie Schenk and manufactured right here at Freiburger Welding by Ken and Phil over 20 years ago! It's pretty special to see something built in our shop still bringing smiles to families all these years later.

This photo is of Lynnetta visiting the newest fish—a reminder that these sculptures have become part of Walkerton's story, and now she's getting to enjoy them too. ❤
