At Cavalier, some of our biggest investments don’t begin with a purchase order.

They begin with a plane ticket and a willingness to learn.

Recently, Cavalier Tool President Brian Bendig joined by Larry Caron, Plant Manager and Rob Wilson, Maintenance Manager traveled to Japan to visit some of our trusted machinery partners.

Not just to see machines, but to better understand the people, philosophy, and precision behind them.

This trip began at Okuma's World Headquarters.

From our first Okuma machine in 2015 to the advanced double-column machining centers helping to power our operations today,
our partnership has helped us reduce setups, improve efficiency, and continue delivering the speed and precision our customers rely on.

In many ways, our equipment reflects our philosophy: invest intentionally, improve continuously, and never stop raising standards in the mold making industry.

Recently, the Cavalier Tool Social Club headed to On The Water Miniature Golf in Tecumseh for a great evening of fun with our team and their families.

From hole-in-ones to a few “creative” putting strategies, it was a great chance to connect outside of work and make some great memories together.

We have an important update from the Cavalier parking lot…

Ethel (formerly Becky… and originally Ethel) has returned - and she’s introduced her newest team members.

Yes, we’re aware there are strong opinions on both sides of the naming debate.

After careful consideration, no official statement has been issued… and we expect this discussion to continue.

What we can confirm: mom and goslings are doing well and have officially completed their first walk-through of the facility.

At Cavalier, even our wildlife comes with a bit of history.

Last Friday, Cavalier Tool was proud to welcome over 50 technology educators from across Ontario to our advanced mold manufacturing facilities in Windsor-Essex as part of the 2026 OCTE Spring Technological Education Conference - Technological Education: Pathways to Possibility.

Hosted in coordination with the OCTE Ontario, the conference brought together more than 500 educators, administrators, and guidance professionals focused on shaping the future of skilled trades and technological education.

During the tour, educators received an inside look at the art and science of mold making.

Exploring how advanced technology, precision machining, automation, and skilled craftsmanship come together to support modern manufacturing.

More importantly, we shared what we look for in the next generation of mold makers and the exciting career pathways available within our industry.

At Cavalier, we believe educators play a critical role in inspiring future skilled trades professionals.

By strengthening connections between industry and education, we can help ensure students understand the opportunities available in advanced manufacturing right here in Windsor-Essex and beyond.
