Achterbahn-Faszination trifft auf 3D-Druck

Was als Begeisterung für Achterbahnen begann, entwickelte sich für unseren Konstrukteur-Lernenden Robin zu einem spannenden Hobby.

Mit viel Geduld und technischem Interesse konstruiert er die Züge der Europa-Park-Achterbahnen WODAN und Voltron als eigene Modelle nach.
Dabei steckt die Herausforderung vor allem im Detail: Das Voltron Modell besteht im CAD aktuell aus rund 1'700 Einzelteilen.

Von der Radaufhängung bis zu den beweglichen Verbindungen wird jedes Element sorgfältig geplant, angepasst und teilweise mit dem 3D-Druckern hergestellt.

Nicht immer funktioniert alles auf Anhieb. Teile müssen überarbeitet, Masse angepasst und neue Lösungen gefunden werden.
Genau dabei kann Robin sein Wissen aus der Konstrukteur-Lehre einsetzen und gleichzeitig seine Fähigkeiten weiterentwickeln.
Während das WODAN-Modell bereits weit fortgeschritten ist, arbeitet Robin an der noch detaillierteren Umsetzung von Voltron.

Ein schönes Beispiel dafür, wie sich persönliche Begeisterung und technisches Know-how verbinden lassen.

Experience the world of work up close!
What is an apprenticeship at Müller Martini like? That’s exactly what students from the second year of secondary school in Rothrist had the opportunity to discover during their visit to Zofingen.

After a short introduction, the students were divided into two groups. At various stations, they gained insights into our apprenticeship programmes. Our apprentices and vocational trainers explained the different tasks and answered questions about everyday life during an apprenticeship.

Another highlight was the visit to the Print Finishing Center, where the students learned how a book is made and experienced a live demonstration of the Prinova Digital.

To round off the visit, they received helpful tips on work experience placements and how to find an apprenticeship.

Two inspiring days at Heidelberg’s SHIFT Event. 🚀

Around 350 international participants gathered in Heidelberg to discuss the future of the printing industry, with a strong focus on automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and the increasing connectivity of production processes.

While the first day at Halle02 featured insightful keynotes and valuable networking opportunities, the second day at the Home of Print gave visitors the opportunity to experience technologies and solutions in a live production environment.

One of the highlights was the Prinova Digital from Müller Martini, permanently installed at the Home of Print and presented during several live demonstrations. Visitors experienced how Prinova Digital is integrated into a seamless production environment. Connected with Perfetto PRO, Müller Martini's Connex workflow system, and Heidelberg Prinect Touch Free, the solution enables a highly automated end-to-end production process. The demonstrations clearly showed how intelligent workflow management, automation, and modern finishing technologies work together to support the journey towards the Smart Factory.

Representing Müller Martini on site were Rhaidar Horn, Sales Director Germany, Simon Kunz, Product Manager Saddle Stitching, Volker Keppler, Regional Sales Manager, and Mike Braun, Instructor Print Finishing Center. They supported the live demonstrations and engaged in numerous discussions with visitors from around the world.

Valuable insights were also shared during the conversation between Rhaidar Horn and Morten B. Reitoft from INKISH TV. The discussion focused on the importance of automation, intelligent workflows, and strong partnerships in shaping the future of the industry. Topics also included Smart Factory concepts, the integration of Hunkeler into Müller Martini, and the close collaboration between Heidelberg and Müller Martini.
