The Welding Robot Workstation for Elbow Components of Jib Cranes is primarily composed of one FANUC robot, one set of EWM welding equipment, one 500kg-load coordinated embracing positioner (integrated with the inverted rotating arm of the robot), one set of electric fixtures for the robot positioner, two sets of pneumatic fixtures for side plate assemblies, one set of pneumatic fixtures for assembly combination, and other peripheral equipment. This video presents a close-up demonstration of the welding process for the BM5 component of wind turbines. Given the considerable thickness of the steel plates and the large weld seam dimensions, the welding procedure is executed in two sequential steps: first, a root pass is deposited to establish the initial weld foundation, followed by a subsequent cover pass to finalize the weld surface.
