👁 How do I measure the actual radiation dose to the eye?

Dosimeters of the measurand Hp(3) have been specifically designed to measure the dose at a depth of 3 mm (lens position). The integration of a dosimeter ensures that it is securely and permanently attached to the correct measurement position in the immediate vicinity of the eye lens and behind the radiation shielding. This allows the actual radiation dose to the eye to be measured, prevents pressure points, and ensures that the dosimeter can always be easily replaced.

👓 Our BR130 model features a built-in dosimeter adapter that is compatible with dosimeters from Mirion Medical Deutschland. The model also provides continuous radiation protection – from the nose to the temple.

The human is highly sensitive to ionizing radiation, so it is essential to protect it, for example, with x-ray protective .

Cataracts? What are they? 👁

Cataracts can develop as a result of radiation exposure, among other causes, and therefore represent a known risk that should be specifically avoided. For individuals exposed to radiation in the workplace, there are legal requirements for monitoring the dose to the lens of the eye, which may vary by country; for this reason, we do not wish to make a general statement on this matter here. However, regular monitoring of this dose is generally recommended – for example, using a dosimeter.
