Heavy part, zero material handling.

The EMAG VL 8 flips the workpiece between OP 10 and OP 20 all by itself - a turnover station in the conveyor system handles it outside it outside the working area, while the pick-up spindle loads and unloads on its own. Up to 400mm diameter, 780 Nm of torque, 47.5kW spindle power.

Why does a brake disc need a laser coating?

Laser metal deposition applies a bonding layer, then a wear-protection layer on top - monitored in real time by an in-process camera watching the melt pool and a surface scanner measuring thickness. Then the friction surface is ground to final size.

Result: less wear, less brake dust, longer service life.
