We were honoured to welcome the Spanish Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Emma Aparici, to our paper mill in Manchester this week. 🏭
Ambassador Aparici, accompanied by the Consul General of Spain in Manchester, Alejandro Polanco Mata, was welcomed by our Chairman & CEO Susana Alejandro and senior members of the Saica team. Together, they explored our operations and discussed our continued commitment to sustainable manufacturing in the UK.
The visit offered a first-hand look at PM11 - one of the most advanced recycled paper mills in Europe - where 100% recycled paper is produced for corrugated packaging, using recovered materials sourced largely from within the UK.
As Susana Alejandro, Saica CEO, put it:
💬 "The UK is a key market for Saica, and we remain firmly committed to continuing our investment and growth here. Welcoming the Spanish Ambassador to our Manchester site is an important opportunity to showcase the scale of our operations, the talent of our UK teams, and the role we play in supporting a more sustainable industrial future."
We're grateful to Ambassador Aparici for taking the time to visit and for her interest in our sustainability mission and what we're building here in the UK.
