🌍 El pasado 1 de noviembre celebramos el Día Mundial de la Ecología, una fecha que nos recuerda la importancia de avanzar hacia modelos más responsables con los recursos.

Para Saica, reciclar no es el final del proceso. Es el comienzo de uno nuevo.

Cada día trabajamos para recuperar materiales, transformarlos y devolverlos al ciclo productivo como nuevos recursos.

Porque avanzar hacia una economía más circular significa aprovechar mejor las materias primas, reducir residuos y conseguir que los materiales permanezcan en uso durante más tiempo.

Ese enfoque forma parte de nuestra manera de entender la sostenibilidad: convertir residuos en recursos y seguir buscando nuevas formas de cerrar el círculo.

Great to welcome customers from across Ireland to our annual customer event, hosted by Saica Pack Ireland, the corrugated packaging division of Saica Group. The event provided an opportunity to bring customers closer to our business, sharing the expertise, innovation and investment behind the packaging solutions we produce every day.

Over two days, attendees gained first-hand insight into how their packaging is manufactured, heard from experts across our business, explored the latest industry trends and visited our Ashbourne manufacturing site to see our recently installed Rotary Die Cutter in action.

The event also included a fun cardboard darts challenge, with bespoke dart stations designed and developed by our National Development Centre team, showcasing the creativity and versatility of corrugated packaging.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to another successful event. We look forward to continuing to work together to deliver innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.

📰 Opening the doors to circularity

How does a cardboard box become a cardboard box again?

That was one of the key themes explored during Editor Waqas Qureshi's visit to Saica's Greater Manchester operations.

The day showcased our closed-loop approach, beginning at Saica Natur, where recovered cardboard and packaging materials are collected, sorted and processed, before continuing to PM-11, where those fibres are transformed into 100% recycled paper for new packaging applications.

Along the way, discussions covered some of the biggest topics facing the industry today, including packaging regulation, fibre quality, decarbonisation and the growing demand for transparency across supply chains.

As one of the few operators in the UK able to manage the full lifecycle of recovered fibre, we are proud to demonstrate how circularity can deliver environmental and commercial value for customers, communities and the wider industry.

Fruit Attraction 2026 is off to strong start ✅

We are taking part in one of the most important events for the fruit and vegetable sector: three days to connect with the industry, understand its needs first-hand, and present Saica Fresh, our end-to-end packaging solution for fresh produce.
