At CAN, we’re proud to support No Falls Week, an important initiative focused on raising awareness around fall prevention and working safely at height. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and campaigns like this serve as a powerful reminder that creating a safe working environment is everyone’s responsibility.

Stuart Reynolds, CAN’s Integrity Team Lead, shares what No Falls Week means to him.

We are proud to support No Falls Week a campaign organised by the No Falls Foundation, taking place from 18–22 May 2026.

Falls from height remain one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities in the UK. This initiative raises awareness of the importance of working safely at height and reinforces how preventing falls can help save lives, both at work and at home.

To mark the week, CAN colleagues based at one of our client’s onshore sites share what No Falls Week means to them and why maintaining safe working practices matters every day.

This week marks an important milestone for CAN Group – of delivering trusted asset integrity solutions 🎉

From a pioneering idea in April 1986, introducing rope access offshore in the North Sea as a more cost effective alternative to traditional scaffolding access, CAN has continued to evolve in the asset integrity arena. Today, the CAN Group of companies deliver smart asset integrity services and solutions internationally, supporting clients across the UK, North America and West Africa.

This week, we're celebrating four decades of innovation, care, resilience and excellence, and with so many achievements - big and small - to recognise, we'll be sharing more about CAN's journey and where we are today, 40 years on.

In our latest article, Group Directors Adam Byrne & Innes Walker said: “Forty years on, we’re proud of having the same CAN-Do spirit and attitude that’s driven us since day one, keeping us focused on what matters most, every day.

"We are proud of the long-standing partnerships we’ve built over the years, from our workforce, our clients and our partners past and present, and we can’t thank them enough for being part of this journey."

As industries continue to look for safer, more efficient, and more data-driven asset management strategies, Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (ANDT) is at the forefront of modern inspection practices. At CAN, our ANDT team deliver innovative inspection solutions to provide deeper insights to support informed decision-making and ultimately, operational success.

In our latest , we caught up with Dave Pirie, CAN’s Technical Manager, to explore CAN’s ANDT services and the key role Dave plays in evolving our technical capabilities alongside ongoing technological advancements.

Dave explains: “CAN has been delivering Advanced NDT for more than 30 years, with continuous development aligned to the digital era. Where we once relied on potentiometers to encode single or twin-crystal ultrasonic data, we now utilise robotic systems that capture data remotely, at far higher resolutions, and with significantly increased dynamic range compared to early 8-bit equipment”
