Phwoar 🔥 July has been HOT!

We've travelled around the South East and enjoyed an occasional sea breeze but we've also spent lots of time inland in London, it has been WARM but the team (and the surfacing!) didnt crack.

The gang finished dropped kerbs, sweeping driveways, roadways, utility reinstatement and lots more.

We're looking forward to busy August so if you've been meaning to contact us about a surfacing project, get it booked in as soon as possible.

It's the little things behind the scenes that make a big difference. 👷‍♂️🚐

Today we carried out checks across some of our smaller vehicles and vans to check whether first aid kits were fully stocked, hi-vis vests were up to date and warning triangles were in place where needed.

These aren't the most exciting jobs but they're essential. Keeping our team safe, prepared, and ready for every job is all part of maintaining the high standards we set ourselves.

Because quality work starts long before we arrive on site.

The finished surface is only ever as good as what's underneath it.

On this highway reinstatement in Bury St Edmunds, we're checking excavation depth before moving on to the next stage.
The edge shuttering is in place, the Type 1 sub-base laid and the depth being measured to make sure everything is built back to the correct specification.

These are the bits most people never see once the tarmac goes down, but they're what make the difference between a reinstatement that lasts and one that starts failing months down the line.

We don't believe in rushing jobs or taking shortcuts. We build it properly from the ground up, whether it's a small utility reinstatement or a larger highway surfacing scheme.

A great surface isn't just about the finished blacktop, it's about everything that happens before the last pass of the roller.

On this project we carried out a plane out and relay using 10mm Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA). Removing the existing surface allows us to start with the right foundation, ensuring the new wearing course performs as it should rather than simply covering over old problems.

Every project has its own challenges, but the goal is always the same, leave behind a surface that looks right, performs well, and stands the test of time.
