Before a new surface goes down, there's a lot of preparation that happens first.

On this job, we've milled out the existing surface to remove worn material and create a solid foundation for the next layer.

You can clearly see the textured finish left behind by the planer, along with the bond coat that's been applied to help the new asphalt adhere properly.

From muddy track to durable new roadway 🚧

Another quality surfacing project completed for DRC services ✔️

This rural access road was fully reconstructed with:

It’s been a hot one out there today ☀️

With temperatures climbing across the South East, spare a thought for our lads working in full PPE laying fresh surfacing in Ashford, Crawley and Portsmouth 👏

Long hours, hot machinery and even hotter weather but the teams have smashed it once again and kept standards high all day.

Now it’s time for a well deserved Bank Holiday weekend 👍

Roadway resurfacing underway 🚧

The old surface has been removed and the base prepared ready for new asphalt.

At this stage, the team is compacting and levelling the area, checking drainage and strengthening any weak spots before the final surface is laid.

Next steps: tack coat, asphalt surfacing, final rolling, and road markings.

It’s the preparation work that makes a smooth, long-lasting finish possible.
