🔵A job we recently completed was this extension roof to a farm just outside Lichfield. 🏠

⚫️The extension was being built by a local builder who had built a warm roof construction.

🔵Once the roofing insulation and boards had been fitted our qualified roofers then applied our new base layer which is 3mm Self adhesive vented underlay felt.

⚫️We then applied our new 4.5mm black mineral Casali Dermabit cap sheet, supplied by Quality Roofing Supplies Ltd, making sure that the joints were staggered from the underlay.

🔵Our new Cap sheet is a Broof (t4) tested membrane. When it comes to flat roofs, fire safety is non-negotiable. It is the gold standard in fire performance of roofs in the UK. Broof (t4)is the highest European fire safety classification for roofs, indicating superior resistance to external fire exposure (burning brands, wind, and radiation). It proves a roof system restricts flame spread and prevents pe*******on for at least 60 minutes, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations.

⚫️Once the roof was ready, the builder fitted the Aluminium roof lantern.

🔵All waste was removed from site and disposed of in the correct manner.

☀️☀️🌡️🌡️😅What a few days we have had this week, it’s been hot hot hot! 😅🌡️🌡️☀️☀️

⚫️Today we finished this domestic flat roof on a house on the Leyfields in Tamworth. 🏠

🔵The roof had been leaking and the homeowner had decided it was time to have a full roof replacement.

⚫️Firstly, we had a scaffold edge protection erected to comply with the Working at Heights Regulations to allow us to work safely.

🔵On stripping off the old roof waterproofing, we noticed that the roof deck was the old Woodwool slab. Under guidance from the NFRC (Nation Federation of Roofing Contractors) this is now considered a fragile roof. It is recommended that this is either removed or boarded over.

⚫️It was decided that we fit new OSB3 structural moisture resistant boards over the top of the existing and making sure that we screwed through the Woodwool slab into the joist, giving the OSB a solid fixing.

🔵We fitted black GRP trims to the perimeter of the roof ready to accept the new torch on felt system.

⚫️Once the roof deck and trims were fitted our qualified roofers proceeded to apply a 2mm torch on underlay felt followed by our new Casali 4.5mm black mineral torch on Capsheet supplied by Quality Roofing Supplies Ltd. All edging details were also finished in the same material.

🔵Our new Cap sheet is a Broof (t4) tested membrane. When it comes to flat roofs, fire safety is non-negotiable. It is the gold standard in fire performance of roofs in the UK. Broof (t4)is the highest European fire safety classification for roofs, indicating superior resistance to external fire exposure (burning brands, wind, and radiation). ⚫️All waste was removed and disposed of in the manner.

🔵The existing Rooflight was damaged and no longer able to be opened. We increased the height of the kerb around the Rooflight to comply with regulations and fitted a new opening roof dome.

🔵Today we completed this full house reroof to a property in Tamworth .🏠

⚫️A roofer had previously knocked the customers door to tell them that the roof had issues and needed remedial works.

🔵We were called out to survey the roof and see what work was actually required. A quote was given to the customer.

⚫️It was decided by the customer that the roof needed replacing as the existing tiles were 50 years old and were showing signs of water ingress.

🔵We stripped off all of the existing tiles, timber battens and old felt, before putting in a skip for removal.

⚫️Once stripped we fitted vented eve protection trays and covered with new 165g/m2 breathable membrane and 25/50 battens.

🔵Once the roof was covered we then installed new grey Russell Grampian roof tiles.

⚫️A new dry fix vented ridge system was installed as well as a dry verge system.

🔵 We stripped off the old felt roof to reveal the Tongue and groove boarding.

⚫️Our qualified roofers then applied our new Casali Stripstick base layer which is 3mm Self adhesive vented underlay felt.

🔵We removed all of the boarding and replaced with 18mm OSB3 structural moisture resistant boards.

⚫️Our qualified roofers then applied our new base layer which is 3mm Self adhesive vented underlay felt.

🔵We then applied our new 4.5mm black mineral Casali Dermabit cap sheet, supplied by Quality Roofing Supplies Ltd, making sure that the joints were staggered from the underlay.

⚫️The roof was leaking in several places and was in need of a full replacement.💦💦

🔵We stripped off the old felt roof to reveal the plywood boarding.

⚫️We then applied our base layer 2mm underlay felt.

🔵We then installed the new valley Gutter and dressed to the outlets.

⚫️Our 4.5mm black mineral cap sheet was then applied, making sure that the joints were staggered from the underlay.

🔵We installed the Welted drips and flashings were fitted, again in 4.5mm black mineral torch on polyester felt.

⚫️All waste was removed from site and disposed of in the correct manner.

🔵There was a suspicion that part of the problem may have been water ingress through the surrounding brickwork. with this in mind we decided to treat the wall with a waterproofing solution to eliminate any issues.

🔵Another one of our recent jobs was this flat roof to a garage roof to a property in Hurley. 🏠

⚫️The roof was leaking and the customer wanted a full replacement.💦💦

🔵We stripped off the old felt roof to reveal the wet chipboard boarding.

⚫️With chipboard, it is similar to a Weetabix biscuit. Once it gets wet it starts falling apart and collapsing. It can also weaken whilst we are working on it, therefore the best thing to do is to replace the whole timber deck.

🔵We stripped off all the chipboard, denailed all the joists and fitted new OSB3 moisture resistant structural boarding. This will provide a solid deck for many years.

⚫️Once the roof was re boarded we applied our base layer 2mm underlay felt.

🔵We then installed our Gutter drips to allow water to pass over into the gutter correctly.

⚫️Our 4.5mm black mineral cap sheet was then applied, making sure that the joints were staggered from the underlay.

🔵We installed the Welted drips and flashings were fitted, again in 4.5mm black mineral torch on polyester felt.

⚫️All waste was removed from site and disposed of in the correct manner.

🔵When we quoted the roof we noticed that the wall was very wet above the roof. We advised the customer that this was a problem as we thought the wall had become porous. We treated the wall with a waterproofing solution to eliminate any issues.
