Just over three years ago… where does the time go?

A local project, shaped by local people, capturing a little of Bacup’s story through ironwork.

From textiles and shoemaking to wildlife, nature and the rolling hills that surround us, every element was woven into the design.

So many people played a part in bringing this project to life, making it a memorable one to look back on.

Have a look at these Hawthorn tree inspired gates 🍂🍁

The more you look, the more you’ll find.
Hidden within the design are lots of different animals and creatures, all woven into the natural forms.
Flowing and swirling shapes represent the wind and blades of grass, alongside flowers, leaves, bulrushes, ears of wheat and berries, with the natural inhabitants that go with them. 🌿🐦‍⬛🦋

A design that’s full of little details, waiting to be discovered. 🍂

The first of ten woodland inspired panels.
Made from a combination of hollow section, solid bar and thin sheet steel.

Crafted with our signature style in mind, free flowing and inspired by nature.

It’s back from being Galvanised!

Now for the next process, applying the high build vinyl paint.
Then it’s off to site next week ready for the installation. 🛠️

Over the last few weeks, you’ve watched the twists, scrolls and leaves take shape, each piece handcrafted here in our workshop, Bacup, Lancashire.
Now, they’ve all come together to create this stunning bespoke gate.

This project has been a true team effort, and I’d like to thank Arry and Trev for all their hard work and dedication throughout.

I’d also like to give a special mention to my good friend Jim Cooper, whose design expertise, and guidance played a big part in bringing this gate to life.
