Small emergency repair (dislodged hydraulic ram pin/oil leak) for our valued customer Agnew Recovery this morning✔️
Applied Reca Long L**e on various moving parts that looked slightly dry after all this good weather.
Back on the road ready for today/tonights recoverys.👌

Sometimes working at the type of work we do can grind your gears and get ya down etc .

But when another big job gets completed today and a very very happy customer leaves the yard with his truck ya just have to de-stress and dig out the gee-tar and enjoy life🎸🎶.

It has been perfect weather to work at this horsebox refurb/remount outside for a customer this week🌞body removed from a leyland daf and to be remounted on a MAN chassis cab after we altered the wheelbase to suit (shorted chassis wheelbase)

After an inspection we noticed the front bulkhead/roof section had become decayed over the years with water getting in causing the grp to delaminate etc
So we started stripping away the affected area,s to restore this horsebox back to it's former glory.

We will post updates and the finished procedure in due course,we certainly are not phased to undertake on these types of jobs 🤦‍♂️😂

Shout out to our right hand man Brian Cathcart who has rolled the sleeves up as always and got stuck in with this latest project 🔧🪒🔨

Not been sharing much of what we have been upto in the workshop so far this year as there is so much going on.

This was a very satisfying job for a customer ✔️

Arrived as a chassis cab left as a 20ft alloy slide & tilt recovery body✔️

Body/sub frame fabricated in our workshop with materials supplied from Service Metals (Glasgow)

A small job compared to what we are used to...... this 'spark.it' end can needed some tlc after meeting the tarmac🫣 stripped,repacked with new wadding and ready to go straight to the spanish sunshine for winter testing ....

3 more days left before we shut up shop for a few days✔️

A customer contacted us a few months ago asking us to build him a bespoke slide and tilt recovery body.

As we have worked on these for over 20 years we know what works and what doesnt,so with a few upgrades than the normal bodies out there we are nearly ready to start the actual alloy body.

The sub frame/spec has thicker guage EN24 bespoke bushes ensuring this will have a much longer lifespan....

We will post furthur updates in the next few days of the next stage of this build.
