We thought we would just share with you a few pictures of things other than gas bottles and hoses that you might be lucky enough to see when you come here. Those of you that come from time to time may have seen the peachicks growing.

Peachicks fly when they are a couple of days old because they need to roost in trees to avoid foxes etc. They and the adults sleep in trees at night, only staying on the ground to nest.

So along with everything you have seen we have whatever size Calor bottle you want we have in stock together with friendly and helpful service from our knowledgeable staff.

We thought we would show you how to find us. Easiest way if using Google Maps is to enter Bampton Gas. This will then bring you to our gates. Putting the postcode in will take you to our neighbours 200 yards away, who also has gates which stay closed.

We keep our gates closed for safety reasons. There are dogs and sometimes horses roaming around, we don’t want any of them on the road.

There are also peacocks along with pea hens and chicks. You may be lucky to see the peacock displaying its tail feathers, which are moulted and regrow every year. The gates don’t stop them so you might see them on the gates or even on the verge.

Having been selling Calor for about 8 years and having a good relationship with them means we virtually always have stock of all the sizes they sell. If you want to ring us and check before coming then please do.

LPG is safe if used correctly even in this hot weather. The bottles are designed to take the increased pressure when we have hot weather. There is an over pressure release valve on the top of every bottle. If pressure goes too high then gas will be released until pressure reduces. Then it will close. For this to work correctly keep the bottle stood upright.

Check your gas hoses frequently. The hot weather can cause them to get stiff and sometimes crack sooner than expected. This can lead to leaks. If they leak then turn off all your gas bottles ask for help. If you have Calor Gas then you are welcome to call us when we are open. When we are closed call Calor’s emergency number (03457 444 999) which is manned 24 hours a day and they will offer best advice. If you believe the bottle is leaking then call Calor. If you have another make of gas then call your supplier or the makers emergency number.

Think about where you locate your BBQ, Put it in the open away from things like hedges, buildings and sheds. Keep a bucket of water nearby, just in case.
