Here’s to a great retirement, Andy! 👏
After nearly 30 years with E. P. Barrus, we’re saying a very fond farewell to Andy Maaz as he begins his well-deserved retirement on 1st October 2026.

Andy joined Barrus in 1997, bringing with him decades of hands-on experience in agriculture, agricultural engineering and groundcare. Over the years, he became a hugely respected and trusted source of knowledge for our dealers, customers and colleagues.

His practical expertise, friendly approach and willingness to help have made a lasting impact on so many people across the industry.

Thank you, Andy, for 29 years of hard work, friendship and support. You’ll certainly be missed!

This September, Barrus Marine will be bringing together some of the biggest names in marine propulsion and equipment, all under one roof.

Last week, the annual Swan Upping returned to the River Thames, where teams carried out the historic census of the mute swan population – helping to protect one of Britain's most iconic species.

Barrus is proud to support this important event by supplying Mercury outboard engines to the Swan Support team, ensuring the teams stay safely on the water for the five-day journey.

Meet the newest machine in Richard Hammond’s collection...

Barrus had the pleasure of helping Richard Hammond get up and running with his new Segway Navimow Terranox last week.

It's always rewarding to see a new installation come together, and even more so when you know it's going to make a real difference. The Terranox is designed to take the effort out of maintaining larger areas, giving users more time to focus on what matters most.

A big thank you to our Area Sales Manager, Lee Rayson and Navimow Technical Expert, Andrew Davies, for overseeing the installation and ensuring everything was set up perfectly, and to our trusted dealer, Russell Revill, for his continued support.

It was a pleasure meeting Richard, and we're looking forward to seeing the Terranox keep his grounds looking their best with minimal effort.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll work closely with garden centres and specialist machinery outlets, helping our brands stand out through high-quality visual merchandising and exceptional customer engagement.
What you'll be doing:
✅ Creating and maintaining impactful in-store displays
✅ Supporting promotional events and trade shows
✅ Managing stock levels and merchandising materials effectively
✅ Building strong relationships with retail partners
✅ Delivering a first-class customer experience
About you:
✔ Self-motivated and proactive
✔ Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Previous experience in garden centres or retail environments is advantageous

📍 Location: This is a field-based role, with the preferred candidate ideally located in the North Midlands, Staffordshire, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire area to ensure the territory can be easily covered.
🚗 A full UK driving licence is essential. A company vehicle will be provided, and occasional overnight stays may be required.
