If your warehouse line markings are disappearing after six months, the paint probably isn’t the villain.

More often, it’s poor prep, the wrong coating, heavy traffic, chemical exposure, or no proper mechanical key before application. Forklifts, pallets and daily wear don’t exactly go easy on a floor.

High-traffic areas need systems built for real operational use. The right prep and resin spec can make safety markings last much longer and help keep compliance on track. Before repainting, it’s worth finding out why the last system gave up so quickly.

Summer is great for hotel terraces and communal outdoor spaces. It’s less great when the stone starts looking tired, patchy, or one spilled drink away from a sticky first impression.

Outdoor stone takes a proper beating this time of year: foot traffic, weather, food, furniture, the lot. A good restoration doesn’t just freshen it up visually, it helps those spaces feel cleaner, safer, and ready for guests to actually enjoy.

Because no one books a stay for the “mystery stain by the seating area” experience.

Floors are a bit like people: some have an easy life, some get absolutely battered by 9am.

There’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all maintenance schedule. A busy retail entrance doesn’t wear like an office corridor, and a hospital floor has very different demands to a hotel lobby.

The right plan depends on traffic, flooring type, cleaning routines, safety requirements and how the space is actually used. Planned maintenance works best when it’s built around the building, not pulled off a generic template.

Your entrance floor is the hardest-working surface in the building.

Rainwater, grit, foot traffic, spillages, scratches, cleaning chemicals and everything carried in from outside. It deals with all of it, every day.

When it starts looking tired, slippery or worn, it’s not being dramatic. It’s overdue some attention.

Daily cleaning keeps the floor looking presentable. Periodic maintenance is what stops it quietly falling apart.

Think of it like brushing your teeth vs seeing the dentist. One handles the everyday mess. The other deals with the build-up, wear, scratches, loss of slip resistance, and all the little issues a mop will never fix.

Clean floors are good. Clean and properly maintained floors last longer, perform better, and don’t wait for the worst possible moment to become a problem.

Resin floor repainting in a live warehouse doesn’t have to mean costly downtime.

When ruts, spalling and worn line markings start affecting safety, presentation and day-to-day movement, the risk isn’t just the damaged floor. It’s choosing the wrong repair system and having to do the work twice.

In active warehouse environments, the right approach starts with a proper floor survey.

That means checking the existing coating, surface condition, adhesion, traffic levels, chemical exposure and temperature changes before recommending a resin system. From there, the work can be planned around your operation, with dust control considered where grinding or shot blasting is required.

Cure times can also be mapped around reopening needs, helping minimise disruption while ensuring walkways, bays and edge lines remain visible, durable and aligned with compliance expectations.

If your warehouse floor is showing signs of wear, book a floor survey before committing to a repaint.

A survey gives you a clear recommendation on the right system, preparation method and programme for your site.

Floors usually give you a warning before they become a problem.

A dull finish. Scuffed walkways. Slippery patches where they should not be.

Nothing dramatic at first, but leave it too long and small issues can turn into costly repairs.

That is where planned maintenance makes the difference. It keeps wood, stone, vinyl, terrazzo and concrete floors looking right, performing properly and avoiding the last-minute panic nobody has time for.

A bit of planning beats a full-blown floor headache.

Planned floor maintenance is like servicing a boiler. Easy to put off, expensive to ignore.

The right plan keeps commercial floors safer, smarter-looking and less likely to need costly emergency repairs.

Wood, stone, vinyl, terrazzo or concrete, regular care helps prevent bigger problems later.

Fantastic day at the Workplace Event at the NEC.

Plenty of good conversations, plenty of miles covered, and only a slightly worrying amount of time spent talking about floors. Our kind of day, really.

It was great to meet so many people from across the industry, swap ideas, and hear what’s happening on sites and in workplaces right now. Tired feet by the end of it, which felt very on-brand.

We can't wait for tomorrow!

Tomorrow we’re at The Workplace Event at the NEC.

If floors could talk, ours would probably have a lot to say about wear, slip risks, bad maintenance plans, and being ignored until the last minute. We’ll be there talking restoration, renovation, and what actually works when commercial floors need to look right and perform properly.

If you’re heading to the NEC, there’s a good chance we’ll be somewhere nearby thinking about floors more than most people think is normal.
