Little job we started and finished at the back end of this week. 👌

We received recommendations from an independent damp surveyor for this property, but after carrying out our own assessment, we felt the proposed approach wasn’t the most suitable solution for the home.

One of our recommendations was the installation of a PIV unit, which will be fitted shortly. This should help the customer move away from relying on a large dehumidifier upstairs to continually manage the moisture in the air.

So, what does a PIV unit actually do?

Positive Input Ventilation works by introducing a continuous supply of fresh, filtered air into the property, usually from a unit installed in the loft.

This creates gentle positive air pressure throughout the home, helping to:

• Reduce excess humidity
• Improve air circulation
• Dilute and remove moisture-laden, stale air
• Reduce condensation on windows and cold surfaces
• Lower the conditions that encourage mould growth
• Improve overall indoor air quality

Rather than constantly removing moisture with a portable dehumidifier, a correctly specified PIV system helps tackle the ventilation and humidity conditions contributing to the problem in the first place.

Back from holiday and straight back into it ✅

Another job completed, with our electrician brought in to tidy up the existing cables before the plastering work was finished.

Not all of our work is damp related. Alongside our damp proofing services, we also have qualified plasterers on hand for all types of plastering and reinstatement work.

We’re now back out surveying, quoting and getting new jobs booked in across Blackpool, the Fylde Coast and surrounding areas.

Another happy customer ✅

This area was taken right back to brick, fully damp proofed, then professionally re-plastered and skimmed ready for decorating.

This is just one part of a larger ongoing project in St Annes, with more work still to come.

Before & After | Chimney Damp Remediation

Another chimney damp issue properly diagnosed and dealt with from the source through to the final finish.

The chimney was capped off, re-flaunched, defective leadwork was renewed, and all affected internal plaster was removed.

We then:

* Applied a BBA-approved salt inhibitor
* Installed a BBA-approved damp remediation system
* Skimmed the affected area
* Completed the decorating ready for the customer

Everything was completed in-house from start to finish, allowing us to control the quality at every stage.

Some damp proofers just cover the problem. We diagnose it, treat it and repair it properly

The property was left clean and immaculate, with another very happy customer.
