Precision matters!

A closer look at a selection of bespoke components machined recently at Acorn Engineering and Fabrications.

CNC machining uses computer-controlled machinery to cut and shape metal with incredible accuracy, allowing us to produce complex, bespoke components to exact specifications.

It’s all about precision, consistency and attention to detail, whether we’re producing a one-off component or a larger run.

Bespoke mild steel framework and reject system.

This made-to-measure assembly included a fabricated mild steel framework, reject collection boxes and chutes - all manufactured to fit together precisely.

The components were then powder coated to provide a durable finish suitable for their working environment. Manufactured in-house by Acorn Engineering and Fabrications to customer's exact requirements.

Not everything comes off the shelf.

This ELRO pump was a completely bespoke manufacture, created specifically to meet our client’s requirements.

Designed around the customer's process and manufactured for demanding food production use. Fabricated and finished by the team at Acorn Fabrications, it’s a great example of the high-end, precision work that goes on behind the scenes here every day.

We have to admit... one of the best parts of the job is popping into bars and restaurants we've helped create. Purely for professional reasons, of course...

Bespoke, made-to-measure bar metalwork for a restaurant in Tynemouth. The drinks display units combine raw mild steel frames with toughened glass shelving, alongside an overhead wine glass display. Rather than covering the steel with a coloured finish, it was clear coated to protect it from the demands of a busy bar while retaining the natural, rustic appearance of raw metal.

It's often the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

This bespoke chair was finished with rolled brass sheet, carefully formed to shape and fitted to the chair with decorative brass fixings. Working with brass takes care and precision particularly when forming and fitting it around an existing structure. The result is a distinctive brass finish that completely transforms this handcrafted Chesterfield chair.
