Breathing New Life into a Beautiful Cottage

There's something incredibly satisfying about working on traditional properties using the materials they were originally built with.

On this project, I repaired, then carried out Lime plastering to a Clay Lump wall helping preserve the character and integrity of this lovely cottage. Unlike modern gypsum plasters, Lime plaster is breathable, allowing moisture to evaporate naturally through the walls. This helps reduce damp issues while protecting the historic fabric of the building.

Every heritage property deserves an approach that's sympathetic to its age and construction. Using the correct materials isn't just about appearance—it's about ensuring these buildings continue to stand the test of time.
