Starting the business with just a manual turret mill and centre lathe in 1990, DAS Engineering has come a long way.
Following the recent installation of their 25th XYZ Machine Tools machine, an XYZ TC 400 turning centre, we take a closer look at the relationship that has helped support their growth for more than two decades.
Owner Dave Stone bought his first XYZ machine in 2002 — an XYZ Vulcan turning centre that is still producing parts 24 years later, 45 hours a week, and holding the same tolerances as day one. DAS Engineering truly believe the new TC400 will provide the same loyal service as that original machine, along with increased metal removal capability, greater capacity and reduced cycle times.
