Here at Briggs Marine, we are keen to recognise all seafarers, past and present who have played a vital role in keeping the UK supplied, connected, and moving.

We’re proud to work alongside and support the crews, mariners, and offshore teams whose dedication keeps our maritime industry strong.

Today we join organisations and colleagues across the country in flying the Red Ensign and celebrating the contribution of the Merchant Navy, past and present.

💧 Briggs Marine Divers Supporting SSE at Culligran Hydro Dam 💧

Our Briggs Marine diving team has been on site at the Culligran Hydro Dam, carrying out essential cleaning and maintenance on the dam gates as part of ongoing works with SSE.

This project came with a unique challenge — the dam structure is underground, meaning no equipment producing fumes could be used. To ensure safe and compliant operations, our team deployed specialist tools and brought in our fully‑equipped diving trailer to contain all activity within a controlled environment.

Despite the constraints, the team delivered the works smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard — a great example of our divers’ expertise, adaptability, and commitment to safe working in complex environments.
