Not all concrete pumps are the same, and choosing the wrong one can cost you time and money on the day of the pour.

Here's the simple breakdown:

🔵 Line pumps are compact, trailer-mounted, and ideal for tight access sites like back gardens, basements, and terraced streets. They can reach up to 150 metres horizontally, making them the go-to for most domestic and smaller commercial jobs.

🟠 Boom pumps use a folding articulated arm to deliver concrete at height or over obstacles, no ground-level pipework needed. They cover up to 42 metres of vertical and horizontal reach, and are built for large slabs, suspended floors, and multi-storey pours.

The right choice comes down to three things: how much concrete you need, how far it needs to travel, and whether the pour is at ground level or elevated.
