Research into hantavirus focuses on understanding its zoonotic transmission and viral pathogenesis.

Abbexa’s human hantavirus IgG/IgM rapid test kit detects and distinguishes between two types of hantavirus antibodies: IgM, which is generally associated with a more recent immune response, and IgG, which is associated with longer-term immunity.

This distinction can help support research into the immune response to hantavirus infection.
